Q: What have you learned from working at AK?
Work hard, but have fun.

Q:What is playing in your car right now?
Cage the Elephant ‘Melophobia’ album.

Q:What is your best achievement?
I believe the best is still ahead of me!

Q:What is a hidden talent you have?
I have a nice double haul cast.

Q: In 5 years you hope to…?
Travel more, fish more.

Q: What is the best advice you have been given?
Fail quickly. The sooner you recognize it’s not going to work, the sooner you can move on to the winning situation.

Q: If you could start your own business, what would it be?
There is no way I am giving you my brilliant idea for free.

Q: What is the best gift you have been given?
When I was in grad school, a friend sold me his old VW Jetta for $1. That car made it possible or me to work two jobs and get to class each day. When I was done with the car, I paid it forward to another friend. I couldn’t have done it without his generosity…God bless Wayne Templeman.

Q: If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to & what would you do?
1999…put more of my paycheck into the Starbucks employee stock investment plan.

Q: What is your favorite tradition you have?
Putting away the harvest with the family…making ‘kraut with mom, smoking salmon, making sausage during deer hunting season, we really get into it.

Q: What is your favorite AK memory?
Watching the AK Maple Grove team ham it up for the 2015 Ugly Sweater Contest.
