Structural Rack is used in heavy abuse applications like food distribution centers.  High product though put and forklift traffic makes for good use of structural rack whether it is selective, pushback, or drive-in.  The most damage vunerable part of the rack is the lower front legs.  The property of structural rack is hot formed steel that when impacted has a tendancy to deflect the blow like a hammer hitting a rail instead of a hammer hitting a car body (conventional cold rolled rack).
