As AK continues to grow and expand into 2013, employee roles and positions are expanding as well. AK recently began training Shawn Jones to become a Project Coordinator, this change opened up his previous role of a shipping specialist. As the position became available Warehouse Manager Josh “James” Jungbauer notified his brother-in-law Eric Dutcher of the position, who then interviewed and obtained the position. As always we like to have our new team members share a little about themselves, so check out the interview below introducing our new Aspiring Shipping Specialist Eric Dutcher.
How did you hear first hear about AK?
Well… It’s kind of interesting because I actually have two family members who are team members here so I have known about AK for a while now.
What interests you the most about AK?
The way they treat their employees. At some businesses, you are just another brick in the wall but at AK you are actually treated like a person which makes you feel good about coming into work.
What interests you the most about the material handling industry?
From my previous experience in the retail hardware industry, I know that there is an ever-increasing demand for the types of products that AK carries.
As you know we are pretty big sports fans here at AK, so we do have to know what are your favorite teams?
Minnesota Wild, Twins, and the Vikings.
We know it is only your third day at AK but from what you have seen and heard so far.. What is the AK Difference?
A FUTURE. To say that I’m humbled by this place is an understatement. I worked for almost 14 years at my previous position and was hired here for more compensation than I was ever offered previously. Plus AK offers 401K, good health and dental options, and a chance to earn a raise (what is that?). I am blessed. Thank you AKMHS.
We are very excited to have Eric on our team and excited to see where his career goes from here. Have a great FUN FRIDAY!
