This week, we’ll continue to meet the faces behind the AK Material Handling Systems brand. This week’s interview shines the spotlight on the lead warehouse, maintenance man, and AK photographer James Jungbauer. James helps keep things running smoothly in the warehouse, and takes some awesome pictures while he’s at it. Like a lot of us, if it were up to James, he’d be out on the lake fishing.

Q: James, what is your role at AKMHS and how long have you been with the company?
A: I have been working at AK for 4 years and two months 5 days and I’m the “Lead Warehouse Specialists” by title but I’m also the maintenance man and photographer.
Q: What do you think makes AK so different from other material handling companies?
A: We take good pride in what we do for our customers.
Q: What do you find most interesting about working with pallet rack?
A: That there is always a different order to pull every day. Our large product offering gives us a variety on a daily basis.
Q: Describe your typical weekend, then describe your ideal weekend.
A: On the weekends I’m usually working security at Grumpy’s Bar & Grill or working on my cars at home with the family. My typical weekend would consist of me being in my boat on the lake fishing while catchin’ a nice tan.
Q: What’s currently playing in your mp3 player/car stereo?
A: Dubstep all-day

- Traveled to Honduras twice, Germany, Philippines, and Rockford, IL on mission trips.
- His dad Mike Jungbauer was State Senator
- He raced BMX nationwide and has traveled through 45 states during his journey.
- Has 3 Children (Carson 5, Madelyn 3, Isabella 5 Months)
- Has been to a total 7 Countries
- Built his own house
