Bulk Shelving

Tennsco’s Bulk Shelving Rack is one of our most popular steel shelving systems, and also an effective tool for storing the heaviest of hand-loadable items.  Made with 14 gauge steel, Tennsco Bulk Storage Rack shelf capacities range from 2150 to 4150 pounds, enabling shelving units to store virtually anything that can be loaded without the use of a forklift. Tennsco Bulk Storage Rack’s strength comes not only from the 14 gauge steel used to manufacture it, but also from its Z-Beam design. This shelving’s considerable strength makes it ideal for industrial applications where storage of items such as heavy equipment, engines and machinery may be stored.  If your capacity requirements are somewhere in between traditional lighter duty steel shelving and full fledged pallet rack, bulk storage rack may be the perfect storage solution for you. How to Install Tennsco Bulk Shelving:

bulk-storage-installation-instructions

Tennsco Bulk shelving is assembled without the use of hardware, and shelving can be assembled, disassembled and reconfigured quickly and easily. This method of assembly is significantly easier and faster than assembly using hardware and/or clips. The directions for Tennsco Bulk storage shelving are provided below.

There are three components to Tennsco Bulk shelving: the upright, the beam, and the decking. The first step of assembly is to lean one of the shelving uprights against a wall or have a partner hold it for you. Next, you will want to attach one beam to the bottom of the upright by inserting the three hooks into the upright slots.  Repeat this step with another beam on the other side of the upright.  These beams will form the bottom shelf level.  After that, engage each of the loose ends of the beams into another upright.  The shelving will now be able to stand on its own, and the bottom shelving level will be complete.  Next, place two beams at the top of the uprights to form the top shelving level and repeat for each additional shelving level.  After all beams are in place, add shelf flanges to ensure optimal support.  The final step consists of placing whatever decking is being used (particle board, wire decking, etc.) onto the beams.  Once this is complete, your shelving will be ready for use.
