Heavy Duty Shelving

One of Tennsco’s most popular styles of industrial steel shelving systems is the boltless rivet shelving design called Heavy Duty Z-Line. Heavy Duty Z-Line has gained popularity in the United States for its ability to be customized and hold a large amount of weight per shelf. Our Tennsco shelving units can handle your most demanding storage needs, with weight capacities ranging from 1,250 lbs. to 2,250 lbs. per level, depending upon shelf size. Widths available up to 96″. Also known as “particle board shelving,” our Tennsco Z-Line is equipped with 5/8” particle board shelves that are custom cut to each order.

With another associate or a wall for support, set two EUR posts upright and use two LRA front to back supports to connect the two EUR posts at the top and bottom. When placing the shelf supports in the posts, make sure to the flange is facing up. Then, place a third LRA front to back support in the middle of the unit.  Repeat this step to obtain a pair of uprights. Always ensure that the components are securely engaged by using a rubber mallet.

With the help of another person, stand up each previously constructed upright and connect them at the top and bottom using your LRA Right to Left shelf supports. Again, ensure that the flanges on these LRA parts are facing up.

Next, put the remaining LRA shelf supports in place. Once that is complete, use your SDS shelf reinforcements and slide them into place between the LRA supports. Ensure a secure fit by tapping them in place with a rubber mallet. (48” w = 1 reinforcement; 72″ w = 2 reinforcements; 96″ w = 3 reinforcements)

Once all the EUR, LRA, and SDS components are in place the particle board can be inserted.
