Low Profile Z Line Shelving

When searching for a storage solution for light duty hand stack items in the warehouse, Tennsco Low Profile Z-Line shelving is one of the most popular choices in the industry. The “low profile” name comes from the minimum use of space for cross beams, without compromising capacity. Often times, shelving units compromise cost and capacity by going with a light duty cheap steel material but, that’s not the case with Tennsco’s Low Profile. With shelf capacities reaching all the way up to 600 lbs per level, the Tennsco design offers both strength and versatility. Although most commonly found in warehouses, Tennsco steel shelving is also a great solution for office and light industrial applications. We helped the Minnesota Twins utilize the Tennsco low profile shelving system throughout the new Minnesota Twins Stadium, storing everything from tickets to miscellaneous items.

With another associate or a wall for support, set two EUR posts upright and use two DRS front-to-back supports to connect the two EUR posts at the top and bottom. When placing the shelf supports in the posts, make sure the shelf support is facing up so the wood shelf can drop into the supports (see images below). Then, place a third DRS front to back support in the middle of the unit. Repeat this step to form a pair of uprights. Always ensure that the components are securely engaged by using a rubber mallet.

With the help of another associate, stand up each previously constructed upright and connect them at the top and bottom using your DRS Right to Left shelf supports. Again, ensure that the flange on these DRS parts are placed properly, giving the wood a resting place.

Then, proceed to put the remaining DRS shelf supports in place. Ensure a secure fit by tapping them in place with a rubber mallet. Once all the EUR and DRS components are in place, the particle board can be inserted.
