AK Wins 2021 MHEDA MVP Award

AK Material Handling Systems (AKMHS) has been awarded the prestigious MHEDA MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Award for 2021 for their accomplishments in 2020. AKMHS earned the distinction for the 11th time in as many years – and every year since the industry’s trade association, MHEDA (Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association), has been awarding member institutions.

Award recipients must satisfy a rigorous set of criteria, with less than 10% of the association’s membership earning the award. As a 2021 MVP, AK Material Handling Systems has successfully demonstrated a commitment to business excellence, professionalism, and good stewardship.

To qualify for the annual MHEDA MVP Award, companies must provide evidence of their commitment to AK Material Handling Wins MHEDA MVP Award for 2021their business partners, including their customers, employees, and suppliers. They must satisfy criteria in the following essential areas:

Josh Smith, President of AK Material Handling Systems, thanked his team for another great year in the material handling industry. “I couldn’t be more proud of our team,” Smith said. “In an extremely challenging and unpredictable environment, we persevered and continued to put our customers and partners at the forefront of our work.”

Linda Anlauf, Director of Inside Sales, remarked, “I cannot say enough good things about the work our team did this year. It’s truly amazing how we persevered and handled whatever came our way throughout the year.”

The AKMHS team will remember 2020 as an incredibly challenging yet meaningful year, as operations continued through COVID-19 shutdowns and regulations. Despite the hurdles, AKMHS continued to support existing and new partners, including those contributing to food security, medical health, and financial assistance to individuals and families impacted by the Coronavirus.

Strategic Warehousing LLC has been working with AK Material Handling Systems for the past 20 years for new installs, and re-aligning of our current racking layouts and configurations in our warehouses,” said Kathy Forester, General Manager. “Their ability to come on-site and to meet with us to visually see what we are requiring and providing us their expertise in design and layout has been key in our long-lasting relationship,” Forester added.
“To me, the relationship we have with AK Material Handling Systems is what a true partnership is all about,” said Tom Wagner, Regional Manager for UNEX Manufacturing. “We have seen steady growth in sales volume and complexity of projects, which has been beneficial to both AK Material Handling Systems and UNEX,” said Wagner.
