Q: As a 20+ year veteran of the company, Does any project stand out as your favorite?
A: “My favorite was a large pallet flow project that involved layout, redesign and moving existing rack, 5,000 positions of new pallet flow rack. There was a lot of planning, but it was fun”
Q: What do you think makes AK so different than any other material handling company?
A: “I think we are uniquely set up to specialize in pallet rack projects. We are so good at quickly responding to requests for space calculations, layouts, budgets, etc. Then, our project management team excels at getting the projects done”
Q: What excites you the most about the future at AK?
A: “We continue to grow and get better at everything we do by using technology and improving our systems”
Q: How do you think AK was able to be ranked as a Top 100 Company to work for three consecutive years?
A: “By keeping our atmosphere fun and always changing to get better- everyone takes part in that”
Q: What are some of your main hobbies?
A: “Coaching my kid’s sports, working out, fishing, hunting, being outdoors as much as possible”
Q: Rumor has it that you are the Rafael Nadal of the AK Team. What is your secret to always winning the AK Tennis Tournament?
A: “I’m actually the John McEnroe of the AK team but really I just get into everyone’s head. Oh yeah- I also played high school tennis”
Q: As most people know AK is a very tight company, can you share what it’s like to work with your father-in-law and also your brother-in-law?
A: “It’s pretty cool. My wife gets jealous because I see them more than her”

- Was a Three Sport Athlete in High School (Hockey, Tennis, and Football)
- Played in the High School State Tournament for Tennis
- 2 Kids (Gunner 18, Grace 11)
- Figure this out: Writes Right Handed, Throws Left, Plays Tennis Right, Golfs Left, Hockey Left, and Bowls Left Handed.
- Scored a 36 on his ACT in Math
- Brian also supplied the Twins New Stadium with Pallet Rack & Shelving
