What Is a Drive-In Pallet Rack System
Drive-in pallet rack systems are used when you need to maximize your storage space to its fullest. A drive-in system is a first in last out system. It is typically best for warehouses that carry a large amount of a small number of products. It’s also best used for accessing items that are usually not time-sensitive. Drive-in pallet rack systems also have smaller access aisles, which allows for more storage space. In fact, you can store anywhere between two and 10 pallets in each row.
How Do They Work?
With a drive-in pallet rack system, you can store pallets by loading them with a forklift. The forklift can then remove the pallets from the same entrance at which they were loaded. Again, this is a great application for large quantities of the same product.
